Girls in White Dresses

Summer is not summer without a good book, and this summer I have found many. One that I  loved this summer was Jennifer Close’s Girls in White Dresses. This novel focuses mainly on three twenty-something women in New York City as they figure out their lives, all the while surrounded by their friends who are getting married and having babies. I loved how Close looked at the experiences of each of these girls, and their friends, highlighting  the different struggles and triumphs that young women face as they become adults. The chapters, more like short stories, worked separately, mixed together, it was perfect. And of course, it only fuelled my increasing desire to see New York City.
