Spring Beauty Changes

springbeautychangesSpring is officially here! At least, that’s what the calendar says. Even though it’s not looking much not like spring today, I’m going to talk about five things way you can add some spring to your beauty routine.

IMG_1642Nails. My favourite thing about season changing is switching up my nail colour. I love a light pink (like Essie’s Fiji) to freshen up my look. Next week I’ll be sharing my favourite spring nail colours, so watch out for that!

Lipstick. Moving away from the berries and darker reds of winter, I love bright pink lips for spring (like Revlon’s Colorburst Lipbutter in Sweet Tart). Anything with some pink or coral is sure to brighten your face.

Eyes. I love cream shadows for spring, especially a soft neutral (like Benefit’s Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit). For a really soft look, use your finger to swipe it all over the lid. So pretty, and easy so you can spend less time inside and more time enjoying the sunshine (when it comes).

Face. If you’ve been using a heavier foundation, I think spring is the perfect time to lighten up and switch to a tinted moisturizer (like Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer). A tinted moisturizer is great to even out your skin with a bit of coverage, but it’s light enough to let your skin shine through. Also, on the face front, adding a bit of glow with some bronzer is always a good thing (like Rimmel’s Natural Bronzer).

What are you doing to add some spring to your beauty routine?
