Evening Skin Care Routine

Last week, I posted my morning skin care routine, so today I will be sharing my current evening routine. While my morning routine is all about prepping my skin for the day or makeup, my evening routine is all about getting the dirt and makeup of the day off then adding moisture. I’m all about the hydrated skin.

The Body Shop, Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. Last year I fell in love with cleansing oils thanks to Boscia’s Makeup Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil. When I finished my bottle (sad day) in February, I decided to try this one because of Amelia Liana’s recommendation and because it’s much cheaper ($16 vs $35). Two months in, I am really enjoying it. It definitely gets all my makeup off, especially my mascara which is always my concern (I lose eyelashes if I don’t wash it off properly). The only thing I don’t like about it is that it leaves a slight greasy residue, but since I cleanse afterwards it’s not a big deal.

First Aid Beauty, Pure Skin Face Cleanser. I’ve already talked about this a bit, so I won’t go on again about it. Just know that this keeps my skin clean, nourished and does not dry it out — which is really all I ask for.

Kiehl’s, Midnight Recovery Eye Cream. I mentioned this one in my 2014 favourites, so you know that I love it. I like that it is moisturizing, but sinks in really well. I also haven’t noticed any additional fine lines around my eyes since I started using it, so maybe it’s helping with that too.

Indeed Labs, Hydraluron Moisture Serum. I talked about this last week (you can read my thoughts here). Unfortunately I ran out of this magic juice a few days ago, so before I buy a new one I’m going through all the sample serums I have; so far nothing has come close.

Kiehl’s, Ultra Facial Cream. While I like to wear a light moisturizer in the day time, I love a thicker cream at night. I love this cream because it keeps my skin moisturized all night, it is not heavily fragranced and it keeps my sensitive skin happy.
