The Weekend Post | 08.15.15

theweekendpost081515Happy Saturday! I’m feeling so much happier at the end of this week, as our home is finally clean. I’ve made a lot of strides in the way I’m organizing and cleaning (I’ll be sharing more in future posts). I am always happier when things are clean. I’ve also started re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird, which I wanted to read before starting Go Set a Watchman (the sequel, which I put on my summer reading list). I had forgotten how much I love it. I’ll be writing a post on the difference of reading it at 16 and now 26, so watch out for that next week.

For my favourite things around this week, check out these links:

Look Fresh in Fifteen (you need to watch the whole video, Kate from The Small Things is the best).

CoverGirl’s new Star Wars release

9 Memoirs out this fall (one more month until Mindy’s new release!)

Close-Up Serenade with Jimmy Fallon and Reba McEntire and Phone Booth with Kevin Spacey (best segment yet)

Pork Chops and Strawberry Peach Salsa

This beautiful striped dress

In addition to making our home even better, I want to make Be Loverly even better, and I need your help! I’m working on tweaking the overall design, and have also been brainstorming ideas for new content. Let me know what you’d like to see here, either specific topics, design-wise or just anything that would make our experience together the best. Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend, and enjoying the last few weeks of summer!

  • I feel better when everything is clean and organized too, but at them moment I am working so much I barely get anything done.

I’d love to see some more reviews of books, thoughts on food (maybe something local to your area?), favourite things about being Canadian, some more reviews for things like cleaning supplies or whatnot. Since you’ve come up with new ways to clean and organize, that would be very helpful. More cooking/baking recipes, maybe a story of how you met your mister or what not! Figuring out who you are would be fun 🙂

    • Thanks for the suggestions, Kay! I have some good ideas now! I’ve never thought about sharing how Christopher and I met. It’s a cute story actually. Maybe I’ll do that this month.
