Fall Style List

Watch // Scarf // Dress // Shoes // Coat

Like every other season, fall brings new styles and excuses to beef up my wardrobe. Since I can be quite an impulsive shopper, this year I have started to pick four or five things that I might want to add rather than picking up everything that catches my eye (obviously easier said than done). This fall, I am quite happy with my collection of sweaters, and tops, so I probably don’t need to add much in that regard, but there are a few things that would make my autumn wardrobe complete.

As far as accessories go, I could really use a new watch. I haven’t worn a proper watch for a few years, but have been searching desperately for a nice one. For a while I thought I would want a chunky one like this, but have since realized that a simple one would be more my style and perfect for casual and not-so-casual days alike. At the moment, I love the combination of rose gold and grey, which I first fell in love with when my sister-in-law and I were looking at the new Apple Watches and saw this one, however the $22,000 price tag is a bit steep, so this one from The Horse is perfect. I’m also on the hunt for a great oversized plaid scarf, and thankfully there are so many options out right now. I’m currently deciding between this one, this one and this one.

I have a lot of summer dresses, but when it comes to dresses more appropriate to fall I really only have one, maybe two. I am currently looking at long-sleeved dresses with cute patterns that are easily worn dressed up or down so that I can wear them any day of the week. This one from Modcloth is a current favourite (also in burgundy) and this plaid one are my top two at the moment. Though fall generally means boots, while it’s still warm and the ground is free of snow, I love wearing flats as long as I can. Though I would never have thought I’d want a pair of loafers, they are looking more and more attractive to me, especially this cute burgundy pair.

And finally, though I love not having to wear a coat, or getting by with a cardigan, I would love a new peacoat for fall. It can be tricky to find the perfect coat for the cooler but not freezing months, but I think this one would be perfect, and I love the light grey colour (but would also consider the pink or navy).
