Happy Halloween, friends! Do you have exciting plans today or tonight? Yesterday, Christopher and I went to our church Halloween party, and though we weren’t able to stay long, it was still fun to see everyone in their amazing costumes. Chris didn’t dress up this year, but I chose to go as Rosie the Riveter — the perfect last-minute costume.

theweekendpost103115-3Though Halloween is a good time, the highlight of my week was definitely meeting my new niece, Isabelle on Tuesday. I love being an auntie, and having another little one to love. Also, she smells amazing. What is it about newborns that make them smell so good? I was able to meet her when she was just two hours old, which was pretty special. I don’t think I’ve ever met a baby that young before. I love that we have another girl in the family so I can keep buying adorable dresses (though little boys are fun to shop for too).

And now for my favourite links from the week:

DIY Watercolour Cupcake Toppers

What are you dressing up as tonight? What is your go-to last minute costume?
