The Weekend Post 11.29.15

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetDecember is just two days away, but Christmas is in full swing at our house. After buying a few things and looking through our decorations  for our ward (local congregation) Christmas party in two weeks, I decided to put our tree and lights up in the house, and then blasted the Christmas music as I cleaned the rest of the house yesterday. I love Christmas music, and usually I like to reserve it for December, for I couldn’t resist this time. Maybe it’s because I’m not stuck working in a store that has already been playing it for a month by now. Another reason I’ve been in the Christmas spirit is my favourite drink at Starbucks this time of year: steamed eggnog with two shots of peppermint. It will change your life, I promise.

Last night, I had my monthly girls night with my mom and sisters at my place. We painted our nails, talked about the babies (Isabelle and Michael joined us) and enjoyed our time together. I also had a chance to do my sisters hair for her. Her hair is quite a bit thicker and longer than mine, but not as manageable, so I wanted to try out some of my favourite products to see how they would help her. I’d forgotten how much I love doing other people’s hair, and how thick Marni’s hair is — it took at least twice as long to dry it as it would mine. Of course, I forgot to take pictures, but I will definitely document it next time for a blog post.

I think I will try to convince Christopher to watch some Christmas movies with me after church today, and as I think about it now, I could probably watch one every day until Christmas. I’m curious, what’s your favourite Christmas movie? I think mine is White Christmas or Elf… or Home Alone — there are just too many to choose from.
