February Favourites

februaryfavourites2016Happy March! Seriously, how is it March already? We even had an extra day in February, and it still feels like this year is already flying by! Before we get too deep into March, I want to share my favourite beauty products with you from the last few weeks. These are the things I reached for most days I wore makeup, the things that made me happy, and the things that stood out against everything else.

februaryfavourites2016Too Faced, Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. I bought this at the end of January, and have loved it from the moment I used it. Around the end of December or beginning of January, I noticed that my skin was feeling more dehydrated than usual, especially when wearing makeup, so I wanted a hydrating primer to combat those issues. This one gets a lot of hype, but it’s all well deserved. This primer smooths my skin, brightens it (without any sparkle) and adds extra nourishment after my regular moisturizer. It’s also silicone-free, so if that’s something that you’re sensitive to or concerned about, I would recommend this primer.

Essie, Muchi, Muchi Nail Polish. I’ve talked about this nail polish a couple of times in the last week (here and here), but it’s for good reason. This is my new favourite light pink. It’s opaque, but not chalky or streaky. It’s just lovely.

Bobbi Brown, Luxe Lip Color in Raspberry Pink. I talked about this in a post earlier in February, which you can read here. This beautiful fuchsia has been my perfect statement lip colour, and everything from the packaging to the formula to the longevity is luxurious and impossible not to love.

Revlon, Grow Luscious Mascara. I have used this mascara on and off for years (and even included it in a favourites post last year), and every time I use it, I remember why I love it. It gives my lashes definition and volume without any clumping (even when I use three or four coats). In January, I was having issues with losing lashes (probably due to a lot of stress in December), and I really feel like this mascara lives up to its name and helps my lashes grow — though going makeup free at least twice a week and finishing school have the same effect…

Buxom, Full-On Lip Cream in Berry Blast. This is one of Buxom’s most popular glosses (it was always sold out when I wanted to buy it), and now I understand why. The lovely pink shade goes on mostly opaque (though it’s not as bright as it looks in the tube), but not in a thick way. It wears well through the day, and isn’t too sticky either. It also has a very heavy peppermint scent and cooling effect to it that I love. You can see me wearing it in this Instagram post.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you love this month?
