Sephora VIB Sale Haul | April 2016

sephoravibsalehaul-april2016This month’s VIB Sale at Sephora totally snuck up on me (today’s the last day! use code ROUGENOTE or VIBNOTE for 15% off your purchase at sephora.com), and I unfortunately wasn’t able to post a recommendations or wish list post, but I was able to make a couple of trips to pick up some new bits, as well as some old favourites. There are so many new launches right now, and it was definitely difficult to narrow down my basket. I ended up with a lot of skin care products, and very little makeup since the eyeshadow palettes that I wanted (this one and this one) were sold out or not yet released in stores. Hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on one of them (or both) in the next few weeks, but I think I’ll live if I don’t. Now let’s get to the haul, shall we?

Ole Henriksen, Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. I ran out of this lovely cleansing gel a few months ago, and have missed it ever since. I love using this in the mornings for an easy cleanse, plus the subtle orange scent makes it even better.

Origins, Maskimizer Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer. I mentioned this in my spring beauty wish list post and I’m really looking forward to using this mask primer, and seeing whether or not this really does improve the effectiveness of whatever mask I am using. I will definitely be sharing my feedback once I have a chance to test it.

Bumble and bumble, Surf Foam Blow Dry Spray. I’m a sucker for all things Bumble and bumble, so of course I had to pick up their newest launch. This foam is a combination of a surf spray and a mousse, meant to be used to give your hair a polished, windswept texture. I’m so excited to try it and see if it’s as good as I want it to be.

Origins, Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. This is the best clarifying mask that I have ever used, and my skin has really been missing it since I finished off my last tube. I’m hoping that pairing this with the Maskimizer will lead to even better skin.

Clarins, Golden Glow Booster for Body. I fell in love with the original Golden Glow Booster last spring, and have since wanted to try the newest in the line meant for the whole body. I’m hoping that adding this into my lotion each day will give me that perfect glow when summer rolls around. I really miss being tan.

bareMinerals, Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. Since I am not tan yet, I needed a tinted moisturizer that matches my current pale face that also has an SPF (since I’m far too pale for this one). I’ve used it once already, and so far really liked it. I will be sure to share more thoughts once I have more time with it.

Nails Inc., Gel Effect Mini Collection. I have wanted to try Nails Inc. polishes for a really long time, so I couldn’t resist this little set. I’ve tried a few of these polishes (which are perfect for spring, by the way) and so far I love them. I will be sharing a complete review next week, so keep an eye out for that.

Don’t forget that today is the last day of the VIB Sale, so you can score 15% off at Sephora stores and sephora.com with the codes ROUGENOTE (for VIB Rouge card holders), VIBNOTE (for VIB card holders).

Have you tried any of these products? What did you pick up at the Sephora VIB Sale?
