Products I’ve Used Up | May 2016

mayemptiesIt has been such a long time since I’ve shared an empties post! For some reason, I always feel like it’s so much work to write these posts, so I have procrastinated a lot, and kept putting it off. My empties basket is overflowing now though, so it’s time to share the products that I have used up in the last couple of months.

mayemptiesFirst, let’s go over the products that I have shared over and over in these posts, because I love them that much. I polished off another bottle of the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil from The Body Shop. I think this is my third or fourth bottle and I’m nearly finished my current one. I will continue to repurchase this over and over because it works so well at removing all of my makeup (especially mascara) and doesn’t leave any remnants or greasy residue. In terms of hair care, I finished another bottle of dry shampoo from Batiste and De-Constructed Texture Tease from Garnier Fructis. Both of these products are staples in my hair wardrobe, and I have multiple backups for when I run out. I love it when I find gems at the drugstore and can save a little money.

mayemptiesI finished a lot of skin care products over the past few months as well. I used up the Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk from Soap & Glory, Fillume Volumizing Moisturizer from Indeed Laboratories, Vichy’s Aqualia Thermal Extrasensitive Moisturizer (review here) and Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Skin Refining Oil. I have since repurchased the cleansing milk (read my review here), but that’s it for the time being. I prefer Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and Yes to Cucumbers Daily Calming Moisturizer to the others and am currently using another facial oil, though I would definitely get the Origins oil again (you can read my full review here).

mayemptiesFor new hair and body products, I finished the L’Oreal Hair Expertise Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, Wild Argan Shower Gel from The Body Shop and Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub. I really liked the shampoo and conditioner, and found them to be moisturizing and good for my hair that tends to be on the drier side. However, I don’t think it’s as good as other shampoos and conditioners (even from the drugstore), so I likely won’t pick them up again in the future. I loved the Wild Argan scent, but prefer shower gels with creamier consistencies, so I likely won’t repurchase that one either. I will however be repurchasing the Sugar Crush Body Scrub. I love that it’s a sugar scrub, so it’s really good at removing dead skin (and fake tan), but it also has hydrating properties, so it doesn’t leave my skin feeling raw or dry.

mayemptiesLastly, the only makeup item that I’ve finished in the last couple of months is The POREfessional Face Primer from Benefit. I love this primer, because it creates a very smooth base for my foundation, minimizes the appearance of pores and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I have at least one sample tube at the moment, so it will be a little bit before I need to repurchase it, but I certainly will in the future.

Have you tried any of these products? What beauty bits have you finished recently?
