Feeling Blue | Mani Monday

bluenailpolishMy favourite colour may be pink (especially for my lips), but one of my favourite colours to wear is blue, especially when it comes to my nails. I love blue nails in the spring, because they go with almost everything (depending on the hue) and there are so many options from pale to minty to cobalt. Today I’m sharing a few of my favourite blue polishes that are perfect for this time of year.bluenails-essie

Essie, Bikini So Teeny. I love this shade so much (I posted a review last spring) that I could wear it every day for the next three months and still love it. The lovely periwinkle shade is perfect for adding a bit of fun to your look without being too bright if you’re not into that sort of thing. It also has a hint of shimmer, which is a lovely touch in the sunlight, but it’s not a pain to take off. Best of both worlds.

Essie, Where’s My Chauffeur?. I’ve had this in my collection for a few years now, but I feel like I never wear it. That is until recently. Described as an “opulent turquoise”, this lovely shade is definitely becoming one of my favourites. It’s bright, but wearable, and it lasts a lot longer than many other Essie shades. It’s also great for a pedicure colour.

Essie, Butler Please. When I need a statement blue, this is my go-to. I call this shade my Kentucky blue (because it’s basically the UK’s Wildcat blue) and though I don’t wear it that often, I enjoy having it my collection and always come back to it.

Essie, Find Me an Oasis. Sometimes I just want an icy blue that might look like white from a distance or in certain lighting, and this is the perfect shade for that. Light shades like this are among my favourites in the spring and summer because they’re bright, but not overpowering in tone. This one looks especially lovely on the toes when you’re sitting pool side.
