Sephora VIB Rouge Sale Haul | November 2016

sephoravibsalehaulSephora had their semi-annual VIB sales earlier this month, so you know I had to do a bit of a haul. I tried to pick up some things that I needed (or at least in terms of makeup needed, not like life-sustaining needed), as well as some that I wanted to try, and one that I bought because I didn’t want to buy it at full price. I teased my haul on Instagram last week, and today I’m sharing all of the details.

sephoravibsalehaulClarins recently released their new boosters, and I was excited to try the Detox one. Sephora has each booster in a kit with deluxe samples of a moisturizer and cleanser, at no additional cost, so I grabbed that one instead of just the booster. I’ve used the booster nearly every day for the last week, and I’m not sure if I’ve noticed a difference yet.  I will have to test it out more and share my thoughts with you then.

My current bronzer is nearly finished, so I needed something new. Though I love the Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion, I wanted to try something that I hadn’t before. I’ve heard so many great things about the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer (and I already love the Pink Leopard bronzer), so I decided to give it a try. I’ve used it a few times since buying it, and I really like it. It’s more pigmented than the bronzer I’ve been using most often this year, but it’s not difficult to adjust to it. It’s the perfect shade for me right now, and I imagine you’ll be hearing more about it.

Since using up my NARS Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base earlier this year, my eyeshadow just hasn’t been the same. It was time to pick up a new tube, and I am so happy that I did! I thought that MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly was doing a good job, but it’s nothing compared to this eyeshadow primer.

sephoravibsalehaulSpeaking of primers, I also picked up the Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer. I recently ran out of the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer, and needed a good basic primer that wasn’t a luminizing one (because I already love this one). I’ve used this primer before and really liked it. It helps to make my makeup last longer, while also adding a bit of hydration to my skin (without feeling like another layer of moisturizer).

And finally, I caved and bought the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit in Surreal Light. It’s smaller than I would like it to be, but the pans are actually a decent size. I have used all of the shades already, and really like it. I’ll probably do a more in-depth review later though, so keep an eye out for that.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you pick up at the VIB sale?
