I feel like I am always saying this, but I have found my new perfect neutral. A few weeks ago while browsing the Essie selection at the grocery store (yes, I’m that girl), I discovered a new (to me) shade that I had somehow missed before. I couldn’t put it down and kept staring at it, positive that i had nothing like it in my current collection. Usually when I make that statement I’m very wrong (and have even chosen an exact shade that I already owned), but this time I was right. I had nothing like it and I feel like fate brought us together.
Essie’s Go Go Geisha, which was released with their fall collection last year, is described as an “antique blossom pink”, though on me it definitely appears more purple. With grey and light purple undertones, it goes with everything in my wardrobe, though it’s more than a nude, it’s subtle enough to wear it like one. I think I painted my nails with this colour two or three times in a row last month, which is basically unheard of from me. I also found that it lasted an abnormally long time on me (almost a full week before I noticed a chip), which is great considering this isn’t a gel shade.
If you’re a fan of “Topless and Barefoot”, I think you’ll love this one as much as me.
